HUNGARIAN WIREHAIRED VIZSLAS
Wirehaired Vizslas (WHV) exhibit remarkable versatility as dogs. They excel as instinctual hunters, displaying natural pointing and retrieving abilities. Their keen noses make them adept trackers, and they eagerly embrace work. Despite a protective streak, they bond deeply with their families and are gentle with children. While affectionate and prone to cuddling, they can also be laid-back couch companions, although they remain highly active. Notably, their distinctive characteristics include a dense wiry coat and a bearded face, making them a top-choice dog breed in our estimation.
about Nagyzabasi kennel
The kennel name Nagyzabasi, which means "with a big appetite," is a nod to the wirehaired Vizsla's characteristic high activity level and their substantial food consumption. Situated in the picturesque locale of Killarney, Co. Kerry in Ireland, our kennel has focused on breeding Hungarian wirehaired Vizslas since 2016, successfully nurturing three delightful litters. Our primary goal is to produce top-quality dogs that exemplify the breed's standards to the fullest extent. We're fervently dedicated to promoting the health of wirehaired Vizslas through activities such as showcasing, hunting, participating in hunt competitions, and meticulously evaluating health, genetic test results, and compatibility.
ABOUT the breeder
It all began with Dicky, an adorable Vizsla puppy gifted to me by my parents when I was just 14 years old. At that tender age, I embarked on a journey into the world of dog showing and hunting alongside him. Fast-forward a few years, and today I am the proud owner of three Wirehaired Vizslas. I've achieved numerous championship and show titles in Irish, national and International championship levels with both my current and previous dogs. Even some of our pups have excelled in the show ring and on the field. I'm Jozsef Sipos, a Wirehaired Vizsla breeder located in scenic Killarney, Ireland.
I am very grateful to Nagyzabasi Kennel for entrusting me with this lovely girl. Orlagh has just the best work ethic and loves to please. She fitted in with my other dogs as if she was born here and has the best temperment. I am looking forward to seeing what the future will hold for Orlagh and I.
